• The Foundation shared with the attendees the good results of the CircularInnoBooster Fashion and Textile (F&T) project.  

Finnova attended on March 5th in Brussels to the Conference held by the European Fashion Alliance about the status of the fashion industry in Europe. There we have been able to share with the attendees the successes of the CircularInnoBooster Fashion and Textile (F&T) project, and the CirCoAX programme, designed to accelerate and transform businesses in the F&T industry into regenerative, circular and sustainable ones by applying a progressive and innovative approach.   

The conference featured several expert panels discussing, among other topics; EU sustainability policy and legislation for SMEs, the future of training and education systems and their role in promoting sustainability and empowering young talents and entrepreneurs as well as supply chain transparency, digital product passports (DPP), digital fashion, digitisation, new skills and innovative business models. 

Panelists included Ruth Reichstein, Political Coordinator in the Cabinet of the President of the European Commission Von der Leyen, Elke Timmerman, International and Business Relations at Flanders DC, Alexandre Capelli, Deputy Director of Environment at LVMH and Zuzana Bobikova, Director General of the Slovak Fashion Council, among many others.  

The Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, Iliana Ivanova, closed the event.  

During the conference, the results of the Alliance’s Europe-wide survey on the state of the European fashion industry in relation to upcoming sustainability legislation were presented.
